SPN 2392 FMI 1 signals that the ECM has detected a voltage or current level below the normal operational range on the backup light and alarm horn circuit. In practice, this code commonly appears after a forced DPF regeneration when a technician accidentally shorts the reverse lamp wiring during reassembly. The ECM interprets the low signal as a fault, disabling the alarm horn and backup lights.

- No Reverse Alarm: Backup alarm horn remains silent when reverse gear is engaged, even with ignition on.
- Dim Backup Lights: Backup lights illuminate weakly or flicker due to insufficient voltage from the circuit.
