J1939 CAN Log Analyzer — Decode, Inspect and Diagnose CAN Bus Sessions Online
The J1939 CAN Log Analyzer processes raw CAN bus log files and extracts diagnostic intelligence automatically — no manual frame-by-frame inspection required. Upload a log file captured with Vector CANoe, PEAK PCAN-Explorer, Kvaser, or any SocketCAN-compatible tool and get an instant session summary with PGN inventory, ECU activity map, and automatic DTC detection.
Supported formats: .asc (Vector CANoe, PEAK, Kvaser), .log (SocketCAN candump), .csv and .txt. Format is detected automatically — no configuration needed.

The analyzer decodes every frame against the SAE J1939DA standard, identifying the Parameter Group Number, Source Address, and all SPNs with their physical values. DTC detection scans the log for DM1 messages (PGN 65226) and extracts every Diagnostic Trouble Code with its SPN, FMI, and Occurrence Count — the same data your diagnostic scanner displays, extracted automatically from the raw bus traffic.
The PGN Inventory tab shows every message type present in the session with frame counts and transmission frequency, making it easy to identify missing messages, unexpected nodes, or abnormal bus load. The ECU Activity Map lists every Source Address detected in the log with frame counts and the number of PGNs each node transmitted.
The free tier analyzes the first 1,000 frames of any file. Upgrade to Premium for full file analysis, CSV export, and PDF diagnostic reports.
For fault code reference on any SPN detected in the log, use the SPN FMI Lookup tool. For complete PGN specifications, use the PGN Lookup tool.
